Jerome Tan was one of the first speakers at the National Achiever’s Congress 2014 in Singapore, held at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre. A multi-millionaire serial entrepreneur and property investor, Jerome owns over 20 businesses and 100 properties in different parts of the world. He is the author of ‘From Bankruptcy To Multi-Millions In 7 Years’ and ‘Living On Wealthfare’.

According to Jerome, success is the result of a four-letter work: LUCK. No, he wasn’t referring to that elusive Lady; it is an acronym for “Labour Under Correct Knowledge” – a message to highlight that working with the correct knowledge is one of the keys to success in any sphere of life.

He then went on to spell out his 8 tips for success, encapsulated in the first 8 letters of the alphabet. Those 8 success mantras are listed below:

Acceptance of Self: accept yourself for what you are; self-acceptance is one of the first steps to realising one’s potential. If you can’t accept or forgive yourself, it is highly unlikely for anyone else to do so.

Belief: believe in yourself and your dreams. Don’t let this self-belief be shaken as it is the foundation on which success stories are created.

Commitment: Be committed to your dreams and goals. Pursue them relentlessly inspite of any obstacles that will inevitably show up.

Dreams: Dream big!

Excellence: Whatever you do in life, strive to excel. Give it your best shot.

Faith: Have faith in a power higher than you; have faith that this higher power will take care of you.

Giving: The more you give, the more you are likely to receive. So, give to others in whatever form that may be. Share your knowledge, give time or money.

Happiness: Build and maintain a happy outlook towards life. Stay happy.
